In Sevastopol, prices for sugar, sunflower oil, chicken, fish, eggs and “borscht set” have been reduced
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market noted a decrease in prices for sugar, sunflower oil, chilled and frozen chicken, frozen whole fish, eggs, apples, onions, carrots and beets.
Prices have increased for butter, shelf-stable milk, fresh cucumbers and white cabbage.
Today, Sevastopol is successfully implementing a mechanism aimed at maintaining prices for socially significant goods — the “Memorandum of Understanding”. This is an agreement between the city authorities and retail chains, signed on the initiative of Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The memorandum was concluded with 10 retail chain organizations and is currently valid in 122 retail outlets. The list of goods under the Memorandum has been expanded from 23 to 46 items.
One of the first retail chains included in the Memorandum was the Leader chain of stores, where the department’s control activities took place today.
Today, the Leader store on General Ostryakov Avenue, 65a/40 was inspected, where the conditions of the Memorandum are fully met. There is a full list of products in stock, each of which is highlighted with a light blue price tag. In the “Buyer’s Corner” there is a list of goods according to the Memorandum, which is also highlighted in bright light blue. Limiting the trade markup on a number of essential goods helps prevent unreasonable price increases in the city— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the consumer market department of the department, Ksenia Kazandzhieva.
The issue of compliance with the terms of the Memorandum is under constant control of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market.
The implementation of this project is aimed at improving the price situation in the city’s consumer market and increasing the availability of goods for citizens.
