In Sevastopol, road and transport infrastructure is being prepared for spring

In Sevastopol, road services are cleaning up the roadway, roadsides, stops and fences after winter. 11 vehicles go out every day for mechanized road cleaning. To date, almost 24 million square meters of roads have already been cleared. 25 workers and 9 pieces of equipment are employed at stops, sidewalks, and washing fences and signs. Another 6 people with three cars are mowing the grass and trimming branches so that the road signs are clearly visible.

Particular attention is paid to stopping pavilions and shelters next to them. They are washed, painted, benches are repaired. To date, 21 public transport stops have been repaired, and about 60 more pavilions have been washed.

After winter temperature changes, cracks and holes appeared on some sections of the roads, and the sides collapsed. Now road workers are restoring gravel surfaces and washed out roadsides: they have already graded and filled 11.7 thousand square meters of roadsides and 2.7 thousand square meters of transitional surface. We also started pothole repair using hot mixes. Monitoring of the condition of roads is carried out, among other things, with the participation of Rosavtodor, which checks the fulfillment of warranty obligations by contractors.

We began to restore the markings — studded tires and anti-icing materials had erased them over the winter. Local work started on March 17, the main work will begin on April 1 and are planned to be completed by June 1. To date, markings have been updated at 50 pedestrian crossings.

Some work will take place in the center of Sevastopol and at iconic places — on the eve of the May holidays and Victory Day.

Mikhail Razvozhaev instructed to work on the issue of strengthening road services during seasonal work. In addition, it was instructed to control the work culture at construction sites: to ensure that equipment leaves them on the streets clean and does not dirty the roadway. And the same control is needed for equipment that leaves agricultural enterprises.
