In Sevastopol, road repairs on Vokzalnaya Street will be completed by the end of the week

Road services are repairing a section of Vokzalnaya Street. Restoration of the upper worn layers of asphalt concrete pavement began at the beginning of the week. According to the foreman of the Sevavtodor maintenance site, Emil Yakubov, the decision to repair was made due to the unsatisfactory technical condition of the pavement: the upper layers of asphalt were worn out, and defects appeared that required surgical intervention.

The length of the repaired area is about 300 meters, the total volume of work is about 4 thousand square meters. meters. We carry out a set of measures to restore the upper worn layers of asphalt concrete pavement as part of the maintenance of regional roads. More than 8 units of special equipment and 10 road workers are involved at the site. The work is progressing ahead of schedule and we plan to complete the laying of asphalt by the end of the week, subject to favorable weather conditions.x,” explained Emil Yakubov.

Road work is carried out at night so as not to create obstacles to traffic during the day and to minimize inconvenience for residents and guests of the city. This is a forced but necessary measure: Vokzalnaya Street is the most important connecting artery between the Leninsky and Nakhimovsky districts of Sevastopol, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of transport between residential areas and social infrastructure. Objects of mass attraction are located here: railway and bus stations, the central multifunctional center, and public transport routes.

Currently, traffic on the site is organized using temporary signs and detour schemes.

Once the new pavement is complete, road markings will be applied.

Let us remind you that by the end of the year it is planned to restore the surface of 26 km of roads. This will increase the capacity of the sections and reduce the risk of accidents.
