In Sevastopol, the case of the administrator of an online drug store went to trial

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol sent a criminal case to court against a 25-year-old local resident. He is charged under Part 3 of Art. 30 – pp. “a”, “d” part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed using the Internet, organized by a group, including on a significant and large scale).

According to investigators, in May 2024, for the purpose of illegal enrichment, the accused became part of an organized group that carried out criminal activities in the field of drug trafficking. He was assigned the role of “administrator-operator”. The man’s task was to exchange information with wholesale, small-scale wholesale and retail couriers about the location of caches with narcotic drugs in the territory of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. He also posted on the virtual storefront of an online store selling drugs on a shadow marketplace platform information about the location of “bookmarks” for final sale to drug users.

As a result of operational search activities, police officers stopped the criminal activities of the attacker. The drugs clephedrone and marijuana were seized from 16 caches prepared by couriers with the participation of the accused.,” reported the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.

The investigation was carried out by the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.

The city prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case with an approved indictment to the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol.
