In Sevastopol, the Ministry of Emergency Situations worked out the issues of accident-free passage of floods and protection from wildfires

A staff training session was held at the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia, dedicated to working out issues of ensuring accident-free passage of spring floods, as well as protecting settlements, economic facilities and social infrastructure from wildfires.
During the events, employees of the emergency department worked out two introductory ones. According to one, conditionally, on March 9 at 9 a.m., information was received that as a result of heavy rain and increased wind, the dam of Gasfortovskoye Lake broke through, which led to a critical filling of the Sukhaya River and, as a result, flooding of four settlements in the region. The second scenario assumed that on March 9 at 12 noon, as a result of careless handling of fire by an unidentified person, a fire broke out in a forest area in the area of Mount Gasfort, due to strong winds, the fire turns into a riding one, quickly covering the slope and spreading to an area of 200,000 square meters— noted in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol.
A meeting of the operational headquarters and task force was announced. Issues of interaction with government bodies, emergency departments and services have been worked out, the methodology of work to eliminate the consequences of the indicated emergency situations, as well as ensuring the safety of the population and infrastructure, has been analyzed.
