A project by Kristina Menshakova was opened at Sevastopol State University, which received support in the competition of volunteer projects in Sevastopol in 2025. The project will unite young people aged 14 to 25 years and is aimed at instilling patriotism and creative thinking among Sevastopol youth. A complex of military-tactical events awaits schoolchildren and students of the city. They will get acquainted with the stories of heroes who gave their lives for their homeland and learn about their life path.
“Unconquered Spirit” is not just the name of the project, but a reflection of the inner strength of Sevastopol and its youth. In the hearts of our guys there lives respect for the exploits of the defenders of the Motherland and the desire to be worthy of the memory of the heroes. Through such initiatives, civic responsibility is born, faith in justice and confidence that no trials can break us grow stronger.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the youth affairs department Marina Slonchenko.
The program includes theoretical and practical parts: meetings with lecturers from the Russian Knowledge Society, team military-tactical games and master classes created on the basis of the professional experience of the heroes. A special part of the project is making gifts for the families of fallen defenders in memory of their heroism.
In the modern world, it is important to speak to young people in an understandable language in order to preserve historical memory. Today this memory is closely connected with the events of the special military operation. That is why we are launching a project that is designed to perpetuate the exploits of those who died defending their homeland,” emphasized Kristina Menshakova.
As part of the opening of the project, the guests of honor laid flowers at the memorial plaque “Alma Mater of Heroes”, dedicated to students and graduates of the university who died during a special military operation. The honored guests were given an excursion to the Museum of Special Military Operations, created on the initiative of first-year history students at the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations.
The event continued with the panel discussion “Call Sign “Dream”. Its participants met with military-political analyst, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Yan Gagin and a member of the Council under the Governor of Sevastopol for the affairs of participants of the North Military District, chairman of the board of the SRBOO «Defenders», wife of the Hero of Russia Elena Mechtanova.
