In Sevastopol, the police detained a car thief

In Sevastopol, police detained a suspect in car theft. As noted in the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, earlier the same attacker was prosecuted for repeated driving while intoxicated.
It was established that a 20-year-old young man offered his friend’s father, a 51-year-old local resident, to quickly and efficiently repair his Mitsubishi car at a service station for subsequent sale. The car owner agreed, but a few weeks later he did not find his vehicle at the service station and contacted the police. As it turned out, the repairman was not going to fulfill the terms of the agreement, but simply stole a foreign car and drove it as he needed.— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Police officers quickly detained the suspect, confiscated the car and returned it to the owner. According to part 1 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Unlawful possession of a car or other vehicle without the purpose of theft”) a criminal case was initiated. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
