In Sevastopol, the restoration of the Kroshitsky Museum is being completed

The State Expertise of the city of Sevastopol has reviewed the documentation for the work on the preservation of the object of cultural heritage — the building of the Sevastopol Art Museum. M.P. Kroshitsky. Based on the results of the state examination, a positive conclusion was issued. The expert organization is connected and uses the ECPE.

In the summer 1958 the museum was closed due to the start of repairs and restoration. In the course of the work, it was necessary to refine and adjust the design and estimate documentation. At present, most of the repair and restoration work, including the technical re-equipment of the museum, has already been done. The project documentation was prepared by Asgard LLC , the press service of the Federal Autonomous Institution Glavgosexpertiza of Russia reported.

The Sevastopol Art Gallery was opened in 1927 in a four-story building with an intricately decorated facade not far from Primorsky boulevard, which was erected by order of the «personal honorary citizen of Sevastopol» merchant Gavalov in year.

  • From 228th to 1958 for a year, the director of the gallery was Mikhail Pavlovich Kroshitsky, a Soviet painter, museum worker, teacher, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.   • The exposition of the museum includes over 8000 works, including monuments Revivals, paintings by the «Little Dutch» and Flemish masters, works of French art of the 17th-18th centuries, examples of Meissen porcelain and Western European bronzes, canvases by Russian and Ukrainian painters of the 19th century, works of Soviet and modern art. 8551
