In Sevastopol they are monitoring prices — fresh vegetables and fruits have not risen in price
Over the past week, prices for fresh apples and cucumbers have decreased on the city consumer market. At the same time, a slight increase in the cost of fresh tomatoes, onions and beets was noted. Specialists from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market explained that such price fluctuations are objectively seasonal.
The change in prices for cucumbers and tomatoes last week is associated with natural fluctuations in harvest volumes in greenhouse farms. The cost of apples, onions and beets is determined by market supply due to the end of the season for storing products in marketable form,” commented the head of the department’s consumer market department, Ksenia Kazandzhieva.
According to Ksenia Kazandzhieva, department specialists check price proposals, as well as compliance with the terms of the memorandum on a weekly basis. In 2025, about 50 raids were carried out, and since the beginning of 2026 — already 14. During inspections, special attention is paid to compliance with established markups, compliance with storage rules and the uninterrupted availability of goods on shelves.
Let us recall that the memorandum provides for the establishment of a “zero” or minimum trade margin in the range of 0–15% of the manufacturer’s selling price for the approved list of products.
Today, products with a minimum markup are sold in 123 retail outlets in the city. It is easy to recognize them: such goods are marked with light blue price tags with the inscription “Memorandum” or special wobblers. Each participating store has a “Buyer’s Corner”, where a complete list of goods covered by the agreement is presented in a uniform style. The following retail chains are already participating in the program: “Uyutstroy”, “Yabloko”, “Fresh”, “Leader”, “PUD”, “Wild Honey”, “4M”, “7M Without Prices”, “BOOM”.
