In Sevastopol, they began the 2nd stage of the overhaul of the Educational Center named after V.D. Revyakina

In Sevastopol, the second stage of capital repairs of the Educational Center named after V.D. Revyakina on Orlovskaya Street, 15. Construction and installation work is planned to be completed by the beginning of the new academic year.

The first stage of work was fully completed in 2025. Then specialists carried out repairs to the facade and roof, replaced 50% of the wooden windows with modern energy-efficient ones, waterproofed the foundation under the gym and catering unit, and also carried out finishing work in the assembly hall, dining room and partly in the gym,” said Elena Boyko, head of the department for capital repairs of cultural, educational and sports facilities of the Unified Directorate of Capital Construction.

According to the director of the educational center, Valentina Tarasenko, major renovations of the main building have not been carried out since its construction in 1965. For almost 60 years it has fallen into disrepair — from communications to interior decoration. In 2022, workshops for the “Labor (technology)” lessons were renovated.

The second phase, which began in February of this year, covers the main three-story academic building: there is a complete replacement of engineering and low-current networks, renovation of all offices and bathrooms. The school’s interiors will be completely updated in accordance with a modern design project developed jointly with the teaching staff.

The construction readiness of the second stage of renovation is now 23%. About 40 workers and technical supervision engineers are involved at the site. Dismantling work and laying utility networks, creating communications and locations for air conditioning, as well as repairing the floors of the first floor are underway.

In fact, after the work is completed, the school will look like new. We work closely with the administration of the center, agreeing on every detail: from the color scheme to the type of tiles,” emphasized Yuri Lysikov, director of SpetsStroyExpert LLC.

As part of the improvement of the adjacent territory, it is planned to install multifunctional zones: courts for mini-football, volleyball and basketball, a running track with a rubber surface, a “Young Traffic Inspector” zone, as well as recreation areas with small architectural forms. The contractor will also completely replace asphalt and sidewalk surfaces, install video surveillance and access control systems, update external water supply and sewerage networks, and install modern street lighting.

During the renovation of the school building on Orlovskaya Street, 15, students of the educational center were temporarily transferred to neighboring schools — No. 6, 10, 11 and 18.

After the renovation is completed, the school will receive completely new educational equipment: from desks and chairs to laboratories in physics, chemistry, general education and robotics. Particular attention is paid to digitalization — all classes will be equipped with modern computers and multimedia teaching aids.

Let us remind you that the Revyakin Educational Center is one of five facilities where major renovations will be completed in 2026 as part of additional funding allocated by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev. Similar work is being completed at schools No. 14, 34, 38 and 43. Also this year, as part of the Youth and Children national project, a major renovation of school No. 28 began.
