In Sevastopol, vigilantes helped to detain a drug addict offender

In Sevastopol, people’s combatants helped the police to detain a suspect in possession of a synthetic drug.
A 22-year-old employee of a voluntary people’s squad turned to the duty unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Leninsky district, who said that an unknown man with signs of drug intoxication had been found in the area of one of the streets of the city. Arriving at the scene, employees of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained the citizen and took him to the police department to clarify all the circumstances. The detainee refused a medical examination, in connection with which an administrative material was drawn up— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The police specified that during a personal search, a polymer bag with white crystals was found and seized from the detainee. The conducted examination showed that the content of the package is a synthetic drug — «alpha-PVP».
A criminal case was initiated against the suspect under Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he faces up to three years in prison.
