In Simferopol, the police received a statement from an employee of one of the local pharmacies that at night an unidentified person stole more than 8,000 rubles from the cash register. During the operational-search activities, the criminal investigation officers identified and detained the suspect. It turned out to be a 28-year-old, previously convicted resident of the Krasnodar Territory.
The attacker was taken to the police department, where he wrote a confession. The man told the police that he entered the pharmacy premises by breaking the lock. Then, taking advantage of the absence of a pharmacist, he committed the theft of cash at the cash desk. Stolen funds used for personal needs— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The investigator of police department No. 1 «Zheleznodorozhny» of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Simferopol initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («Theft»). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to 5 years. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen against the suspect.
