In Simferopol, a businessman organized the illegal storage of commission gold. Will go to court

The Main Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 35-year-old resident of Simferopol, accused of storing for the purpose of selling goods without appropriate markings in an especially large amount (clause “b”, part 2 of article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases established that in March 2024, the entrepreneur placed gold jewelry purchased on commission from citizens on the windows of a chain of jewelry stores located in Simferopol and Sevastopol, without assigning a unique number, which is mandatory for each such product.

The criminal activities of the entrepreneur were revealed by employees of the republican department of the FSB of Russia.

As part of the investigation, financial documentation was seized from twenty thrift stores on the peninsula, as well as more than 12 thousand items made of precious metals and stones worth more than 17.8 million rubles.

The criminal investigation has been completed. The necessary examinations have been carried out. In order to take interim measures, the personal property of the entrepreneur was seized. The case materials were sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
