In Simferopol, a local resident collected and stored an arsenal of weapons and ammunition

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The man said that he was participating in the military-patriotic movement. According to him, one machine gun is intended for training purposes, and three more are cold. More than two hundred rounds of ammunition are signal charges, and he bought a gas pistol in the 1990s and now keeps it as a memory.

In addition, individual elements of armed devices, including parts of a revolver body and a grenade, were previously discovered during archaeological research in the region and were originally collected for presentation in the museum as historical artifacts. The man found another twelve rounds of 7.62 mm caliber at a training ground near Simferopol and kept them for no purpose.

The examination confirmed the suitability for the production of shots of 12 seized 7.62 mm caliber cartridges of the 1943 model of industrial production, which are intended for use in combat rifled firearms. Other ammunition and weapons are not combat weapons— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

The investigator of the police department No. 2 “Kyiv” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Simferopol opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation, forwarding or carrying of firearms, their main parts and ammunition). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of three to five years with a fine in the amount of up to eighty thousand rubles or in the amount of wages or other income of the convicted person for a period of up to three months, or without it.
