CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Simferopol, members of an organized group who sold synthetic drugs «earned» long prison terms.

The Central District Court of Simferopol issued a verdict in a criminal case against residents of the region born in 1993 and 1997. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor, they were found guilty of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 30, paras. «a», «d» part 4 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to illegal sale of narcotic drugs), part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale)— reports the press service of the Crimean prosecutor’s office.

The court found that in January 2022, young people became members of an organized group that illegally sold drugs on the territory of the Russian Federation, acted as “couriers”, selling drugs using a system of “cache” bookmarks.

Drug dealers, acting on the instructions of the «curator», seized bulk lots of N-methylephedron, mephedrone and cocaine, packaged them into smaller lots for further sale. The activities of the accused were suppressed by law enforcement officers, drugs weighing more than 1.3 kg were seized from illegal circulation.

The court, taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, sentenced the defendants to 9 and 10 years in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into force.
