In Simferopol, operatives detained a drug courier with the coordinates of hiding places

Employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simferopol solved a crime related to the illegal distribution of narcotic substances.
A 23-year-old resident of the Crimean capital was detained by police officers while patrolling the street. When checking the young man’s documents, signs of intoxication were revealed. A medical examination confirmed the presence of traces of potent drugs (“lyrica”) in the suspect’s body. The operatives found a mobile phone on the detainee, the memory of which contained photographs of places with the coordinates of caches and bookmarks. The guy explained that he received a large shipment of marijuana using a contactless method (“master treasure”). The man packed the drug himself, using electronic scales, packing tape and special zip-lock bags. A total of 28 packages of varying weights were prepared.— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The examination showed that the seized substance of plant origin with a total weight of 134.5 grams is a prohibited substance — marijuana.
Thanks to the actions of police officers, the sale of a large batch of drugs intended for further sale in the city was prevented.
The investigator of the police department No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol initiated criminal cases on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 and Part 4 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues.” The defendant may face 10 to 20 years in prison. He is under house arrest.
