The centralized monitoring console of the private security forces of the National Guard of the Russian Federation received an “Alarm” signal from one of the guarded shopping centers in Simferopol.
Video surveillance cameras installed in the trading floor recorded how one of the visitors took several goods from the display case and hid them in the pockets of his jacket. After that, without paying for the goods, the unknown person passed through the checkout area and headed to the exit.
Having promptly arrived at the scene, employees of the private security service of the Russian Guard detained a suspect who was trying to escape with stolen goods.
During the search, stolen household items and even shawarma from the grocery department were found on the detainee. The damage caused by the theft amounted to several thousand rubles,” the department’s press service announced the details of the incident.
The detainee, who turned out to be a local resident, was handed over to employees of one of the territorial departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Simferopol for further investigation. A criminal case has been initiated on this fact.
