The prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 31-year-old resident of Simferopol. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation by a person driving a car of the rules of the road or the operation of vehicles, which negligently entailed the infliction of grievous harm to human health).
According to the investigation, on February 4, 2022, the accused, driving a Nissan Teana, was moving along the road near house No. 9 on the street. Heroes of Stalingrad in Simferopol. Carrying out reversing on the carriageway, the car driven by the accused hit a pedestrian. As a result of the incident, an 82-year-old woman received multiple injuries and was hospitalized in a healthcare facility.the prosecutor’s office said.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case will soon be sent to the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol for consideration on the merits. A violating driver faces a penalty of up to 3 years in prison. Exactly for the same period he will be (unequivocally) deprived of the right to drive a car.
