In Simferopol, the prosecutor's office sent to court a case of attempted fraud by a lawyer

In Simferopol, the prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in a criminal case against a lawyer. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 2, art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted fraud, causing significant damage to a citizen).
According to investigators, the lawyer knowingly informed the client of false information about the possibility of influencing the court’s decision to change the measure of restraint. For these purposes, he asked the woman for 250 thousand rubles, while he had no intention of transferring the money to anyone. Upon receipt of the specified amount of money, the lawyer was detained by law enforcement officers— told the prosecutor’s office of the Crimea.
The case with the approved indictment was sent to the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol for consideration on the merits. The “Defender” faces a sentence of up to 5 years in prison, not to mention the fact that a career as a lawyer is put to rest.
