In the Belogorsk region of Crimea, a land swindler was punished

The Belogorsk District Court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a local resident. He was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud, that is, the acquisition of the right to someone else’s property by deception, committed on an especially large scale). This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Crimea.
The court established that in May 2020 the young man prepared forged documents, on the basis of which the State Committee for State Registration and Cadastre of the Republic of Crimea registered the ownership of a land plot of 19 hectares. Thus, the defendant took possession of a state-owned land plot worth more than 2.8 million rublesthe message says.
The court, taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, sentenced the man to 2 years of imprisonment on probation with a probationary period of 3 years. The verdict has not entered into force. In order to claim the specified land plot from illegal possession, the prosecutor’s office of the district sent a statement of claim to the court.
