In the Saki district, a resident of Tatarstan was convicted of trying to kill a friend

In the Saki district, the court passed a sentence in a criminal case against a resident of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny (Republic of Tatarstan). Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, Part 1 of Art. 105 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder)

The court established that in early October last year, during the joint drinking of alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between the defendant and his acquaintance, during which the man followed the victim into another room of the apartment where the men were, and inflicted several stabbed in the stomach. The attacker’s actions were stopped by the injured, after which the doctors provided him with qualified medical assistance , — reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.

The Saki District Court (taking into account the position of the public prosecutor) sentenced the man to 6 years in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony. Currently, the verdict has not entered into force.
