In the Saki region, a local resident stole tires and wheels from a tire shop. But the cameras see everything…
The owner of a tire repair shop in one of the villages of the Saki region contacted the patrol service with a complaint about the theft.
The man said that, upon returning to the workshop after several days of absence, he discovered a broken lock and the loss of seven car tires and thirteen wheels. The total amount of damage was about 160 thousand rubles.
Thanks to the prompt actions of police officers, a 50-year-old local resident suspected of committing theft was detained without delay. The Sakchan man took the stolen tires and wheels out in a wheelbarrow and placed them in his yard, planning to sell them in the future. All property was confiscated and returned to the rightful owner — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft), which provides for punishment of up to five years in prison. The suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place.
