In the Sevastopol Ternovsky forestry they began to prepare trees for pruning

In Ternovskoe forestry, employees of the directorate of specially protected natural areas have begun the initial census of trees whose lower branches need to be pruned.

These measures are part of a set of measures to protect the city’s forests and are aimed at reducing the risk of the occurrence and spread of wildfires. The main goal of the work is to raise the crowns of trees, which prevents the fire from moving from the lower layer to the upper layer, thereby significantly complicating the development of a large forest fire.

The work will last until the end of April 2026. This will make it possible to timely ensure fire safety in the forests of Sevastopol before the start of the spring-summer fire hazard period.
