In the Soviet district of Crimea, «owners of drug deposit» were detained

The day before, as a result of operational search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department, with the assistance of traffic police inspectors of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sovetsky district, detained two residents of the Kirovsky district, 30 and 53 years old, with prohibited substances.
The police noticed a suspicious tandem near the forest protection belt of one of the villages. During a search of citizens, substances of plant origin were found in a sports bag. The examination confirmed that the test item was parts of a hemp plant containing a narcotic drug with a total mass of more than 1.5 kg. The previously unconvicted suspects explained that they found a suitable vacant lot in a neighboring area and began to grow plants, and after collecting the “harvest” they intended to transport the drug plants to their home to use them for personal purposes, but were detained by law enforcement officers— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Sovetsky district opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances).
The defendants were given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
