CrimeaPRESS reports:
20 mine rescuers from the Simferopol, Leninsky and Dzhankoy emergency rescue teams of the GKU RK «KRYM0SPAS» have worked out the skills to conduct search and rescue operations in natural emergencies. The main part of the training included training to provide assistance to victims on difficult terrain, directly in the mountains.
Employees of KRYM-SPAS worked out the elements of search in mountainous areas, first aid, organization of insurance when moving at height, and rescue skills on difficult rocky terrain. Also, the training program provides for the descent, ascent and crossing of a conditional victim vertically and horizontally using climbing equipment. Particular attention was paid to safety rules during search and rescue operations in difficult rocky terrain and the interaction between groups.— reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Such gatherings are held annually, and are of particular importance on the eve of the summer holiday season. As a rule, the largest number of incidents is recorded at this time of the year, due to the large number of vacationers in the mountainous forest area.
Rescuers note that the most common mistakes tourists make are negligence, inattention, as well as overestimation of their own strengths and capabilities.
