In Yalta, a digital system will monitor the operation of public transport and street cleaning

The Ministry of Construction of Russia will award participants of the Smart City project who for five years have been offering ideas aimed at creating comfort and convenient services for their residents. It should be noted that a municipal digital security system has already been created in Yalta.

The award was established this year. The organizers will choose the best practices in the field of urban digitalization, — said the head of the Department of Economic Development of the Yalta Administration Eduard Onatsky. — Our city has been participating in the project since 2019. During this time, we have developed a roadmap, created a municipal digital security system with video surveillance.

The video system reacts to crowds, abandoned objects, unusual behavior of citizens. The information is sent to a single dispatch service, where it is analyzed.

About three hundred video cameras are simultaneously monitoring order in Yalta, Simeiz, Gurzuf and Alupka. There are also several emergency call points for the police, operational services and EDDS in the city. In addition, we are improving the street lighting system by introducing digital technologies.— added Onatsky.

The plans for this year are to provide digital control over the operation of public transport and cleaning of territories.

All innovations are scalable. The security system has influenced the reduction of the crime situation. The police appreciate this work— said the municipal curator of the RF Smart City project.

«Smart City» is being implemented as part of the «Housing and Urban Environment» national project and the «Digital Economy» national program.

Crimea has been participating in this national project for several years., — said Svetlana Maslova, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea. — «Smart City» is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Russian cities, the widespread introduction of advanced digital and engineering solutions in urban and municipal infrastructure. Its development in the Crimea will definitely continue.

The solemn ceremony of presenting the First National Prize for the contribution to the development of the urban economy will be held in Krasnoyarsk. Winners will be determined in 30 personal, industry and special nominations.
