In Yalta, police detained a citizen suspected of attempted drug trafficking.

During an authorized search at the place of residence of the 08-year-old suspect, officers seized 34 a paper bundle with the substance vegetable origin. Electronic scales, a mobile phone and materials intended for packaging, and cash in the amount of 70 thousand rubles were also found, — said the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

According to the suspect, the bundles contained the narcotic substance “marijuana”, which he discovered in a forest area a few months ago and dried, both for personal use and for the purpose of further sale to other persons.

The results of the examination confirmed the words of the suspect. The seized samples with a total weight of 536, 08 grams are the narcotic drug «cannabis» (marijuana).

The Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta initiated a criminal case against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 08, Part 3 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal production, sale or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues in a significant amount) , — specified by the police.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to years.

At the moment, the attacker is a defendant in several more criminal cases initiated on the facts of the sale of prohibited substances. Investigations are ongoing. The suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 55 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation (on suspicion of committing a crime).
