The duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta received a message about a robbery in a household chemicals store. The applicant explained that two unidentified men had openly stolen the goods on sale. The total amount of damage amounted to about four thousand rubles.

The nearest patrol squad was immediately sent to the scene of the incident, which, in hot pursuit, detained one of the suspects, in connection with which his criminal intentions were never realized. Another intruder ran out into the street and disappeared into a neighboring yard, where he was detained by the police. As a result of an inspection at his place of residence, investigators discovered and seized the stolen— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

Surveillance cameras installed in the store recorded the moment of the theft and “remembered” the robbers. The attackers turned out to be two officially unemployed local residents, one of them had previously been convicted of property crimes. The men pleaded guilty and repented of their deeds.

The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to four years.
