In Yalta, an 18-year-old boy was caught driving a moped while intoxicated
During the patrol, employees of the Yalta State Traffic Inspectorate stopped a moped driven by a young man who showed signs of intoxication.
The driver was an 18-year-old resident of the Dzhankoy district, who was asked to undergo an examination procedure on the spot. As a result, the device showed that the permissible limit for alcohol in the blood was 4 times higher. During the inspection it was determined that the driver of the moped did not have a driver’s license. In 2025, he was already brought to administrative responsibility for a similar offense. For repeated driving while intoxicated, the driver will face criminal penalties. The vehicle was seized and placed in a specialized parking lot.
In relation to the young man, the inquiry department of OP No. 1 “Alupkinsky” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment or having a criminal record), he faces a penalty of imprisonment for up to two years— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of Crimea reminds that driving while intoxicated is a serious violation of the law, which entails serious legal consequences and threatens the life and health of all road users.
