In Yalta, state traffic inspectors and bailiffs detained the car of a malicious fine defaulter
CrimeaPRESS reports:
This afternoon in Yalta, state traffic inspectors stopped a Ford Transit car. During the verification of documents, employees found that the driver had unpaid fines. A 39-year-old Yalta resident has accumulated a debt that has exceeded 116 thousand rubles. Employees of the Federal Bailiff Service drew up an act of arrest. If the debtor does not pay fines, his property will be transferred for sale.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of Crimea recalls that a citizen is given 60 days from the date the decision comes into force to pay an administrative fine, and according to Art. 32.2 part 1.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for certain articles of Chapter 12 (fines of the State traffic inspectorate), a fine can be paid with a 50% discount within 20 days from the date of the decision.
Evasion of payment of a fine entails an administrative offense under Part 1 of Art. 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, where the judicial authorities decide to impose a penalty in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of two times the amount of the unpaid administrative fine, or administrative arrest for up to 15 days, or compulsory labor for up to 50 hours. Whichever court decides to impose an administrative penalty, the initial fine must also be paid— the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea reminded.
