In Yalta — the “Good Caps” campaign. Join us!
A big thing starts with a little help. The project coordinator in the region is the eco-center ANO “Clean Yalta”, headed by Sergei Petoshin. Recently, deputy of the Yalta City Council Ekaterina Demina joined his educational activities. The joint efforts of social activists and people’s representatives are aimed at attracting the attention of citizens to the separate collection of waste.
The collection center operates on a permanent basis at the address: Krupskaya Street, 19 (based on the Municipal Budgetary Institution “City Adolescent and Youth Center”). However, environmental activists are not limited to one reception point — Sergei Petoshin regularly holds on-site meetings in labor collectives and public organizations.
One of these visits was a visit to the Yalta section of the water supply system of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Vodokanal of the Southern Coast of Crimea”. The company’s employees, who take care of water purity every day, do not remain indifferent to environmental issues.
My colleagues actively participate in various environmental events held in Crimea. Collecting plastic caps is a small but important step in the environmental well-being of the Southern Coast of Crimea. By participating in such an important social project, the water utility contributes to the development of the environmental culture of employees, residents and numerous guests of our beautiful city.,” noted activist, water distributor of the Yalta section of the water supply system Sergei Grigorovsky.
This time, the most impressive batch of recyclable materials was collected by the senior foreman of the Massandra section of the water pipeline, Nikolai Ryazanov, and the leading engineer for labor standards, Karolina Akisheva.
The collected batteries and plastic caps will be transferred to specialized companies for further processing. Such recycling is extremely important for the ecology of the resort region: just one discarded battery can pollute up to 20 square meters of land and about 400 liters of water, and plastic requires sorting by composition for safe recycling.
Let us remind you that all proceeds from the delivery of raw materials are directed to charity — helping abandoned children.
Join the “Good Caps” project! Together we will make Yalta not only the pearl of Crimea, but also a model of cleanliness and environmental responsibility,” the organizers emphasize.
