In Yalta, the prosecutor's office demands to take measures to restore the building of the hospital of Dr. Vasiliev

In Yalta, the prosecutor’s office conducted an audit of the implementation of legislation in the field of protection of cultural heritage.

It has been established that the order of the regional committee for the protection of cultural heritage approved the security obligation of the owner of the object of cultural heritage of regional significance “The building of the hospital of Dr. S.N. Vasiliev”, which was sent to the local government. In violation of the requirements of the legislation, the facility is in an unsatisfactory condition, the necessary sanitary cleaning of the adjacent territory has not been carried out. In this regard, the prosecutor of the city made a submission to the local administration , the prosecutor’s office reported.

The act of the prosecutor’s response was considered and satisfied, the territory was cleaned, measures were taken to develop design and estimate documentation for the restoration of a cultural heritage site.

REFERENCE: The building of the former hospital of Dr. Vasiliev is located in the central part of Yalta, literally 300 meters from the embankment. The building of the hospital was built at the beginning of the 20th century according to the project of the architect Nikolai Tarasov. It is made in the form of an amphitheater with a rotunda in the center, and above the entrance you can see two griffins “guarding” it, which are a symbol of Crimea. In Soviet times, the hospital was transferred to the House of Pioneers. Then the Yalta Center for the Development of Creativity of Children and Youth was located here.
