In Yevpatoria, fighters of the Crimean student detachments planted a living monument to the heroes as part of the “Garden of Memory” event

As part of the republican patriotic action “Victory Landing”, fighters of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student detachments held a series of events in Yevpatoria aimed at preserving historical truth and patriotic education of youth. The key events of the visit were educational lessons for schoolchildren and participation in the All-Russian event “Garden of Memory”.

The program of stay in Yevpatoria opened with an educational block. Students conducted “Lessons in Courage” and interactive quizzes dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War for local students. In the format of a live dialogue, the youth discussed key battles, the exploits of liberating heroes and the importance of preserving family history. Quizzes allowed schoolchildren to consolidate knowledge about the heroic past of their region and country in a playful way.

The practical embodiment of the continuity of generations was the participation of volunteers in the All-Russian event “Garden of Memory”. On the territory of the city, student fighters planted tree seedlings in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

The “Garden of Memory” campaign has a deep symbolic meaning: its goal is to plant 27 million trees throughout Russia and beyond. Each tree is a living monument in honor of one of the 27 million people whose lives were lost to war. The participation of Crimean students in this project became an important contribution to the creation of a “green memorial” of the country.

Such trips are an opportunity for each fighter, not in words, but in deeds, to prove his devotion to the history of the Fatherland. When we teach lessons in courage and then go to plant trees, we create an inextricable link between the feat of our ancestors and the creative work of modern youth. Each tree planted in Evpatoria will become part of a global symbol of memory that will grow with future generations,” commented Ekaterina Denesyuk, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups.

The republican action “Victory Landing” has been held in Crimea for the eighth year in a row. The project is aimed at patriotic education of youth, popularization of the values ​​of volunteerism and development of the labor potential of students and schoolchildren. In 2026, 600 fighters from student groups will take part in the campaign events throughout the republic.
