In Yevpatoria, three guys and a girl beat up a policeman. The case could have ended in tragedy if not for the law enforcement partner
The evidence collected by the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was recognized by the court as sufficient to bring a guilty verdict against the residents of Evpatoria. Three boys and a girl were found guilty of using violence dangerous to life and health against a government official in connection with the performance of his official duties (Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigation and the court established that late in the evening of July 3, 2025, a police officer on Gorky Street identified young people in a state of intoxication: the group was listening to music loudly and swearing in obscene words. The law enforcement officer repeatedly demanded that they stop illegal actions. In response, the drunken youth threw the government representative to the ground. Beating him with their hands and feet, the attackers struck him on the body with a stick and the neck of a broken bottle. The police officer suffered various injuries, but more serious consequences were avoided due to the fact that his partner arrived to help.
The investigation has carried out a significant amount of work, carried out all the necessary examinations, and collected a sufficient evidence base.— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
Residents of Yevpatoria were found guilty of attacking a law enforcement officer and causing him bodily harm. Depending on the role of each in the crime committed, they are sentenced to various terms of punishment — from one and a half to four years of imprisonment in general and strict regime correctional colonies.
