Incident in Sevastopol: a mopedist tried to escape from a traffic police officer. The moped refused to “run”
While patrolling the streets on Fortress Highway, the crew of the 2nd company of a separate traffic police battalion of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol, consisting of senior traffic police inspector, senior police lieutenant Dmitry Ivanov and traffic police inspector, police lieutenant Igor Semenchenko, saw a moped that was moving along the sidewalk in the same direction as them, in violation of traffic rules.
The mopedist, noticing the flashing lights behind him, turned sharply and ran away in the opposite direction. Lieutenant Semenchenko, without thinking twice, jumped out of the “patrol” and ran after him. The chase was spectacular, but not long. The mopedist tried to hide in the labyrinths of SNT, but was detained by law enforcement officers. The offender was a 16-year-old local resident— the details of the chase were announced by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
