Infrastructure of Sevastopol: the second stage of sidewalk construction has begun in Cossack Bay

The work is being carried out on Military Builders Street. In addition to arranging sidewalks, road workers will install electric lighting. There will be 18 new supports and 59 LED lamps. The length of the work area is 1.14 km. The sidewalk will be on one side of the roadway 2 meters wide. In addition, a pedestrian crossing will be installed on the highway and a stopping pavilion will be installed.

The work is progressing at a good pace. Along the entire length of the repaired section, drainage will be carried out from the roadway under the sidewalk into a roadside ditch. At the final stage of the work, landscaping of the slopes and ditches will be carried out. To date, dismantling work has been completed, the installation of side stones has been completed 70% and the crushed stone base of the sidewalk has been 60% completed, and work is underway to install drainage elementssaid First Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Nikolai Maksimov.

About 10 people and 4 pieces of equipment work at the facility. The percentage of readiness is 35%.

According to the contract, the contractor must complete the work in September, but the Department of Transport has set the task of equipping the sidewalks before the start of the holiday season.

Let us remind you that last year work was carried out on the arrangement of the sidewalk and lighting on the side of Kazachaya Street. At the entrance to the 35th coastal battery, sidewalks and lighting were installed on both sides of the road. Their length was 2.5 km. 10 stop pavilions and 6 traffic lights were also installed.
