Irina Kiviko met with KFU students: they discussed issues of budget policy and entrepreneurship
During the meeting, Irina Kiviko presented to students a detailed analysis of the implementation of the budget of the Republic of Crimea for the past year, and also announced the main parameters of the budget for 2026-2028. Particular attention was paid to the mechanisms for the formation and distribution of budget funds, as well as priority areas of expenditure.
For us, as the executive branch, it is extremely important that the younger generation — future specialists and leaders — understand how the budget is formed, where funds are allocated and how executive authorities function. Such meetings with students are not just an introductory lecture, but an important part of the educational process, allowing young people to gain a practical understanding of budget planning and transparency of public finances. This creates a responsible attitude towards resource management and, I hope, will inspire some of you to future participation in public administration or the development of your own business, based on a clear understanding of economic realities,” emphasized Irina Kiviko.
In addition to issues of budget policy, the Minister of Finance spoke in detail about measures to support small and medium-sized businesses in the Republic of Crimea. Students learned about available forms of grant support, conditions for obtaining a social contract, as well as real opportunities for students who want to open their own business. Specific examples of successful startups created by young entrepreneurs were presented.
The meeting aroused keen interest among students, where, in the form of a discussion, it allowed future professionals to get answers to questions that may be useful to them in their future career, be it public service, entrepreneurship or scientific activity.
