Issues of gasification and electricity supply of the Republic discussed in the Crimean Parliament
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At a meeting of the Presidium of the Crimean Parliament, the deputies summed up the results of the work of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of the Republic of Crimea in terms of implementing measures for gasification and additional gasification of the settlements of the Republic and measures to ensure a stable and high-quality electricity supply to the Crimeans.
According to the relevant Minister Igor Korin, the level of gasification of Crimea in 2014 was 68.7%, and the total number of gasified settlements was 443. Over a nine-year period, taking into account the implementation of measures within the framework of the state program «Gasification of settlements of the Republic of Crimea», the average level of gasification of the region amounted to 82.5%, and the total number of gasified settlements increased to 531.
According to the minister, Crimea is fully provided with electricity necessary for life and socio-economic development. To improve the reliability of the region’s energy supply, work continues on the reconstruction of substations, the replacement of transformer equipment, the construction of power lines, etc. In addition, an enterprise subordinate to the ministry is working on the implementation of contracts for technological connection. For the period 2014-2022, 79 thousand 107 such contracts were concluded, and taking into account the forecast data for 2023, the number of implemented contracts will be at least 100 thousand.
In turn, Valery Kovalenko, Chairman of the Committee for Construction, Transport and Fuel and Energy Complex of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, said that “there is a need for gasification and additional gasification of settlements, as well as ensuring reliable and high-quality power supply to consumers in Armyansk, Feodosia, Alushta, Kerch, Yalta , as well as in the Krasnogvardeisky, Krasnoperekopsky, Simferopol, Chernomorsky, Dzhankoysky, Razdolnensky and Belogorsky districts.
At the same time, large-scale work is underway to reconstruct the network infrastructure in the Chernomorsky and Belogorsky regions, the cities of Yalta and Alushta. But in order to achieve higher rates and complete gasification of the republic, as well as for the modernization of power grids in the regions, it is necessary to allocate the necessary funding. This issue should be under constant control of the relevant ministry and taken into account in budget planning.said the parliamentarian.
In his opinion, a significant contribution to the development of the energy sector of the Republic would be the maximum use of alternative energy sources — the sun and wind, the potential of which is great on the peninsula.
The head of the supreme legislative body of the republic, Vladimir Konstantinov, noted the positive dynamics in the work of the relevant ministry in solving the problems accumulated in past periods.
We are talking about technological connection to power grids, voltage stabilization in different regions of the republic, etc. It is necessary to continue to keep these issues under control, as well as to monitor the implementation of the program for gasification and additional gasification of settlements, because a number of settlements are still left without blue fuel— the speaker of the Crimean parliament emphasized, adding that all protocol instructions following the results of working trips to the regions must be completed before the end of this year.
