«January Windows» of the Sevastopol Children's Art School

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the windows of the Sevastopol Children’s Art School on Lenin Street, 47 the annual winter exhibition «January Windows» takes place. This tradition of the educational institution, reports «Sevastopolskaya Gazeta», for many, many years.

The tradition of making such exhibitions in the windows of our art school appeared a long time ago. This year, the world of Molière is presented in cut compositions. It is true that something «got in» from Goethe’s Faust. The works were created by children from different classes of the art school — from eight to years , — says Anna Sorokina, methodologist of the art school.

However, traditional fairy-tale plots, as well as Christmas trees and snowflakes, could not have been done here either. But the focus is on plots from the works of the French playwright of the century. The names of his comedies — «Tartuffe», «Don Juan» and «Imaginary Sick» were heard even by people far from the literary and theatrical world.

A. Sorokina told how cut-out pictures are created: “The teacher reads a work in the classroom, and the children make storyboards with pencils. Or, let’s say the work is read during another lesson and then they get homework. This is a rather complicated work — the composition should look like a single lace. ”

From the sketches created by the students, the best ones were selected, which are now placed at the exhibition in the windows. It will last until the end of January.

However, at the art school, such exhibitions of cut-out compositions happen from time to time for significant events, and not only for the New Year.
