Krymenergo plans to exceed the plan for replacing transformer substations
First of all, we are talking about carrying out measures for the technological connection of subscribers to power supply networks, voltage surges in networks, and the procedure for consumers to switch to direct contracts with energy sales. Thus, in March of this year, the Head of the Republic of Crimea received 59 appeals on these topics.
As Sergey Aksyonov noted, Krymenergo continues to actively work on installing new transformer substations, which directly affects the quality of supplied electricity. The head of the republic recalled that in 2026 it is planned to replace 250 transformer substations. The work is being carried out both at the expense of the republican budget and at the expense of the enterprise itself.
According to information from the General Director of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymenergo» Maxim Shklyarsky, today specialists have already updated 82 facilities, which are under the jurisdiction of 20 divisions of the enterprise. At the same time, there is an intention to exceed the plan set for 2026.
In the future, about a thousand more substations in different municipalities may require replacement. However, already today, a number of facilities are modernizing equipment to extend their service life.
Sergey Aksyonov also emphasized the importance of performing technological connections under already concluded and paid contracts. “Today we are recording a delay behind the schedule, which arose for objective reasons due to the snowy winter and the need to put large facilities into operation. Currently, between 300 and 600 contracts are implemented weekly. By July, Krymenergo should increase its pace. Let me remind you that priority continues to be given to those subscribers where there is no need to build new networks and other power grid facilitiessaid the Head of Crimea.
Maxim Shklyarsky added that in 2025, 20 thousand contracts for technical connection were implemented in the republic. At the same time, today in all divisions of the enterprise, where there is no need to build new power grid facilities, there is no debt under contracts.
Separately, Sergei Aksenov instructed to hold meetings with residents of seven more gardening partnerships and cooperatives with a view to switching to direct payments with Krymenergo, since only in this case the payment for electricity will be able to correspond to actual consumption.
