Leaders of student government discussed directions for the development of Crimean school youth

From October 28 to November 5, a forum for leaders of student self-government of the Republic of Crimea was held at the Zvezdny camp. The leaders of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian student teams acted as mentors for the forum participants.

The 5th anniversary forum of student government leaders “We are the future of the country” for school presidents and activists from all over Crimea ended at the Zvezdny children’s health camp.

As part of the forum, schoolchildren met with the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea — Valentina Vasilievna Lavrik, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea — Olga Alexandrovna Shevtsova, as well as representatives of public organizations in the region.

Leaders of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Student Teams (RSO) became mentors for the participants: they helped develop leadership qualities, instilled teamwork skills and contributed to strengthening school assets. Teenagers mastered the basics of project activities, participated in business games and solved management problems that contributed to the development of team management skills.

Thanks to such events, we not only strengthen the leadership of student self-government in Crimea, but also tell teenagers about the opportunities that participation in the student movement opens up for them, and how working in teenage labor groups helps them gain first work experience and develop personal and professional skills. Such initiatives lay the foundation for the children’s future success and foster respect for work and teamwork,” noted Ekaterina Denesyuk, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups.

The Crimean regional branch of Russian student teams implements programs aimed at youth development, including employment of teenagers during the holiday period, work projects, and initiatives to strengthen leadership skills. The forum at the Zvezdny children’s school was another step in the development of self-government skills and professional training of schoolchildren, providing them with support from experienced mentors.
