In Sevastopol, in order to deceive gullible citizens, an attacker posted fake ads for the sale of medical leeches on one of the popular Internet sites.

Operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol established that a 34-year-old local resident, wishing to purchase a specific product, transferred nine thousand rubles to the false seller, but never received her leeches . Realizing that she was the victim of a scammer, the woman contacted the police. During a business trip, employees of the Sevastopol police detained a 30-year-old suspect in the territory of the Krasnodar Territory. Previously, he had already been prosecuted for property crimes , the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol reported.

At present, a criminal case has been initiated against the defendant by the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nakhimovsky district under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years.
