«Light up, Sevastopol!» — activities to promote retroreflective elements for pedestrians

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Preventive action under the motto «Light up, Sevastopol!» takes place in educational institutions of the city on the eve of the autumn school holidays.

The first to join the action were the cadets of the internal affairs bodies of secondary school No. 6, who demonstrated the presence of retroreflective elements on their clothes and shoes, as well as special bright vests. Then the schoolchildren fastened stickers, key rings, bracelets and badges with a reflective effect on themselves and backpacks, presented by traffic police officers, to be even brighter and more noticeable on the road. The traffic inspectors, who took an active part in the event to popularize retroreflective elements, not only told the cadets how important it is to use bright accessories, but also showed how they can be made independently or together with their parents from self-adhesive tape. Also, all the participants of the action watched the fifth episode of the TV program “I observe traffic rules”, dedicated to the problem of the visibility of pedestrians at night , the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol notes.
