Massandra and Miskhor parks-monuments are being renovated in Yalta
The process is under the control of the leadership of the Crimean Ministry of Natural Resources. In general, the work is progressing on schedule and will soon be completed on all 33 hectares of the park. The total cost of work under the Agreement between the Government of Crimea and Moscow) is 244 million rubles, — the press service quotes Yanina Pavlenko.
She clarified that the work is now concentrated in the upper and middle zones — they plan to complete the laying of asphalt concrete pavement there by the end of the week, and (for geological reasons) the storm drainage system is being reconstructed there. Heavy equipment is mainly used to create a “cushion” of crushed stone and transport cargo, and trenches for video surveillance system cables are done exclusively by hand. Some of the paths are paved with tiles, while on others the covering will be restored from fine screenings. The installation of the outdoor lighting system with the installation of lamps has almost been completed, and in the future, free Wi-Fi will appear in the park. At the same time, the park is regularly cleaned, dead wood is cut down, plants and turtles are taken care of — there are more and more of them, there is even an additional island in the pond.
Work is also at an active stage in another monument park — Miskhorsky, which is also under the jurisdiction of the Crimean Ministry of Natural Resources. According to the contract, the work should be completed in the fall of 2026, but the contractor seeks to complete it ahead of schedule. The total cost of repairs, including the fountain (within the framework of the State Program for Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea) is 351 million rubles. We are waiting for the opening!,” noted the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
She also recalled that the process started in April, and to date 30-40% of the work has been completed. In particular, the largest and most expensive object was installed — a color and musical dry fountain, which should become a new point of attraction for Miskhor Park. Another “trick” will be filling the park with a “literary” component — using a special stationary machine, you can download a book for free. Just like in Massandra, there will be free Wi-Fi throughout the park.
Currently, workers continue to reposition retaining walls here and lay new ones, prepare trenches for communications, and the dismantled old curbs are neatly stacked and will be used to pave some paths.
