Representative offices in foreign countries plan to open the international children’s center «Artek» in the coming years, the press service of the international center told TASS.
Plans for the next four years include opening representative offices in other countries. This issue is being studied with the aim of implementing educational programs aimed at promoting Russian educational methods, implementing educational programs aimed at promoting the Russian language and Russian culture abroad— stated the press service.
It was previously reported that at the end of 2025, the international children’s center «Artek» accepted a record number of children from abroad — 2,550 children from 81 countries visited the camp, which is 96% more than the 2024 level. In total, last year 41,730 children from all regions of the Russian Federation and more than 80 foreign countries became Artek members.
Artek, the most famous pioneer camp in the USSR, was founded in 1925. After the reunification of Crimea with Russia in 2014, the children’s center, which consists of nine camps, became federal property. The center receives more than 40 thousand children a year. Since 2014, more than 10 thousand children from 105 countries have visited it. On June 16, 2025, Artek celebrated its centenary.
