Military pensions may increase in the new year

Pensions of former military and security officials may increase from the new year. As he writes Parliamentary newspapera bill according to which the military pension will now amount to 93.59% of the amount of salary, was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading.

This indicator takes into account all previously made decisions to increase the size of military pensions, including the decision to index military pensions to the level of actual inflation from 2025– the publication quotes Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Lipaev.

According to him, military pensions next year will be indexed simultaneously with the amount of cash allowance from October 1, 2026 by 4 percent. It is noted that the changes will affect more than 3.1 million people — not only the military, but also employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, drug control, the National Guard, the Federal Penitentiary Service, firefighters and bailiffs. If adopted, the federal law will come into force on January 1.

Pensioners who have turned 80 years old, disabled people of the first group, civil aviation flight crews and coal industry workers will receive increased pensions already in NovemberAlexei Govyrin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium Enterprises, previously reported.
