Two illegal quarries for the extraction of crushed stone and other minerals on agricultural land were identified in the Pervomaisky and Krasnogvardeysky regions of Crimea. The amount of damage was more than 400 million rubles. About this during a briefing at the press center RIA Novosti Crimeasumming up the work for ten months, said Arsen Arziev, head of the Azov-Black Sea interregional department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.

A claim was made for part of the damage suffered by the soil; the amount of damage amounted to more than 400 million rubleshe said.
According to Arziev, a pre-trial claim was sent to these enterprises. In one of the cases, the department sent the case to court to seek damages through legal proceedings. In the second case, the deadline for voluntary compensation has not yet passed. If the damage is not voluntarily paid, the department will also go to court to force the collection of funds.
