Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrei Nikitin: “Crimea is an important transport and logistics hub of the South of Russia”

Andrei Nikitin said that in 2026 the volume of state support for bringing regional roads in Crimea to standard condition will amount to 10 billion rubles.

Andrei Nikitin also spoke about the results of the next meeting of the government commission to eliminate the consequences of the tanker crash in the Kerch Strait. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev, who heads the government commission, emphasized that to date more than 90% of the spilled fuel oil has been collected.

In turn, Sergey Aksyonov focused on the fact that the Government of the Republic of Crimea, with the direct support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, is addressing a wide range of issues.

This concerns the organization of the work of road and rail transport, the functioning of the Crimean bridge, the ferry crossing, which allows for efficient passenger and cargo transportation, including the supply of fuel to Crimea. The region’s production capacity is being loaded — two large ships are being built at the B.E. Shipyard. Butomy in Kerch,” the Head of Crimea clarified.

According to Sergei Aksenov, the Government of the Republic of Crimea is counting on the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation in the issue of updating the rolling stock of public transport in order to bring it up to federal standards, as well as further continuing road construction, including bringing regional roads in Crimea to standard condition.
