Ministry of Health of Crimea: patients who have had acute cardiovascular diseases have the right to receive drugs free of charge

The Crimean Ministry of Health notes: within the framework of the regional project «Fight against cardiovascular diseases» of the national project «Health», citizens who have suffered an acute cerebrovascular accident, myocardial infarction, as well as patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting, angioplasty of the coronary arteries with stenting and catheter ablation for cardiovascular diseases, are entitled to receive free drugs:

• citizens who do not have disabilities and who have had acute cardiovascular conditions have the right to be discharged and provided with medicines for two years from the moment the listed case occurs.
• citizens with disabilities who have retained a set of social services are entitled to discharge and provide prescription drugs under the federal benefit program.
• citizens with disabilities who have refused a set of social services have the right to be discharged and provided with medicines on a monthly basis for 6 months under the regional benefit program.

After discharge from the hospital, the patient with a discharge epicrisis turns to the attending physician at the medical organization at the place of residence. The attending physician, in accordance with the established procedure, takes the patient to the dispensary registration and writes out prescriptions for the necessary drugs. It is recommended to register with the dispensary as early as possible (optimally within three days after discharge from the hospital) and continue continuous treatment by receiving free drugs.

The list of medicines for outpatient provision of the above categories of patients was approved by the relevant order of the Russian Ministry of Health.

The release of drugs according to the written prescriptions is carried out in the pharmacy network of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Crimea-Pharmacy».
