More than 180 million rubles will be allocated to restore forests in Crimea

Since 2020, work has been underway in Crimea to create forest shelterbelts. Such strips already exist in the Pervomaisky district on an area of 300 hectares, Saki and Leninsky — 75 hectares each, Nizhnegorsky — 58 hectares. In 2025, planned reconstruction of forest belts began in Sovetsky, Saki, Belogorsky districts— said the Head of the Republic.
Particular attention is also paid to the issue of creating a supply of seeds for reforestation. As Sergei Aksyonov said, in Crimea there are 13 forest nurseries and 4 greenhouses with a total area of more than 80 hectares.
As part of the federal project, it is planned to create new forest seed production facilities, as well as improve existing forest nurseries. In addition, in 2024, at the expense of the republic, the greenhouse complex in the Belogorsk forestry was modernized and work began on the improvement of a new nursery in the Bakhchisarai forestry– shared the Head of the Republic.
Another important aspect of the federal project is combating forest fires. Sergei Aksyonov informed that to prevent fires and promptly extinguish fires, forest fire equipment and forest fire equipment were purchased: tankers and small forest patrol modules, forest patrol vehicles and ATVs, tractors, bulldozers, tillage devices and trawls.
Sergei Aksyonov emphasized that the restoration of forest plantations destroyed by fires is a priority task for the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea and a significant part of the work to improve the environmental situation, develop and maintain the natural potential of the republic.
In addition, the Head of Crimea recalled the importance of citizens observing safety rules and following the recommendations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations during outdoor recreation.
